Our individual and group training takes place at The Upper Deck – a state-of-the-art baseball and softball training facility in Melbourne, FL. It's where our athletes come to sharpen their skills, build confidence, and put in the work that shows up on game day.

About the facility
The Upper Deck (3,162 sq. ft.) is designed for any baseball or softball team or individual looking to sharpen their skills. Our Practice Room #105 is a flexible team training area with cages that reconfigure multiple ways — pull the nets back for an open 30 ft. × 70 ft. space (14 ft. high), split it into four 15 ft. × 35 ft. cages, or set up two long 15 ft. × 70 ft. tunnels. The space is loaded with training aids, including speed and agility ladders, hurdles, cones, weighted balls, wiffle balls and broomstick bats for hand-eye coordination, and a state-of-the-art dual-wheeled pitching machine that converts between baseball and softball to throw fastballs, curveballs, sliders, and rise balls. Everything is A/C climate controlled, with a parent viewing area featuring a 32-inch flat screen TV.

At Upper Deck, our academy is designed to help with player specific hitting and throwing while building strength to maximize peak performance with some of the best college and former MLB players this area has to offer!
UD Sports Academy
We specialize in top level baseball and softball specific training from former pros & collegiate athletes in our own facility. Our academy is focused on developing athletes physically, mentally and technically to prepare them to compete in advanced levels of the game while maintaining academic excellence. Jason Stidham and Chris Heston will be heading up training on a weekly basis. They will have weekly routines that are perfectly tailored to enhance player performance. Jason Stidham will specialize in the defensive and offensive departments and Chris will take over the pitching performance. Each player will work on all aspects of their game to give them all the necessary tools to succeed on the field while ensuring they are on track academically to reach those levels. Each player will have an initial evaluation with stats and performance metrics. Throughout the year we will continue to track and breakdown every athletes movements to give them accurate data to change their game. We will use HiTrax, Rapsodo, and many other training aids to help our athletes reach their goals.

Participation in top level technical baseball training from former Pros and Collegiate Athletes who have proven experience in coaching high-level teams, private lessons in a professional environment. Access to our premier facilities and equipment on training days and academy event days. Use of Hit Trax system for player stats and progression. UD Team Shop Access to purchase fan wear opportunities throughout the year. Discount offerings on gear and supplies. This includes bats, gloves (incl. custom), batting gloves, cleats and more.
Academic Program Component
We recognize the importance of education as a solid foundation for our athlete’s success. Our UD baseball academy program includes planned tutoring and educational support in a focused environment with highly qualified teachers and administrators. Our educational program includes onsite tutoring, curriculum guidance, academic tracking, compliance support, portfolio building and onsite/community events.
Program Requirements
• Monthly grade updates must be submitted using the Academy’s provided player portal. • Students must be registered as Florida homeschoolers (parent-led, online, or hybrid programs accepted) with their local county. • FLVS Flex is accepted, as students remain registered Grades, portfolios, and homeschool compliance remain the responsibility of the parent/guardian, though support is provided.
